Sausage dog reusable beeswax food wrap

Beeswax wraps are a fantastic eco-friendly alternative to cling film. Use the warmth of your hands to shape the wraps around your food. Ideal for wrapping sandwiches, snacks and leftovers (not suitable for hot or juicy foods). Wash with lukewarm soapy water and hang to dry. Each beeswax wrap should last between 6 months and a year depending on use and care. When they reach the end of their life, simply cut your beeswax wrap into pieces and add to a compost heap. Wash before first use.

“I absolutely love dogs so any excuse to research and draw dogs is good for me! The dog breed I get asked about the most is sausage dogs so I thought it was about time to design a dachshund print. I started by drawing the sausage dog in light grey pencil to get the shape and character right. Originally I had intended to colour in the sketch with pencil crayons but I didn’t feel I could achieve the velvety texture of the fur this way. Instead I painted colour swatches with different brush strokes using watercolours and scanned them into the computer. With a mix of layering the watercolour samples and digital colouring I managed to achieve a texture I was happy with.
