“When researching birds for my bird print range, I came across the beautiful kingfisher. The stunning colours of the feathers jumped out at me and I knew I had to make a print with it. I chose to draw the kingfisher in oil pastels to ensure the vibrant colours were as beautiful as in real life, and then spent a long time fiddling with the design to get the pattern just right.
