“Cows come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but my favourite has to be the shaggy fur kind. I first drew these cows with oil pastels but found that this didn’t pick up the detail of the coat so I started over again with a fine pencil. I’m really pleased with how it picked up the beautiful features of the cow’s face as well. I then scanned the drawing in to the computer and used lots of layers of blended photographs to create the shaggy texture of the fur. Like with the sheep print, I wanted the cows to be stood in little family groups to look like cows in a field.”
